Short Bio

Ujjwal is pursuing a Ph.D. with a focus on quantum transduction (with a minor in culinary arts). He graduated in 2022 from IIT Roorkee with an Integrated M.Sc. in Physics and was awarded Best Master’s Project for his work on EIT with warm Rb vapor. He interned at Qulabs Software Pvt. Ltd., a quantum networking startup in India, where he helped develop a rubidium-based quantum memory. He laid out the plans to build a quantum optics lab at Qulabs Hyderabad and worked on building a deployable product. He briefly joined as a full-time employee before moving to QCloud Lab in September 2022. He continued as a remote consultant with Qulabs until the first prototype was completed in May 2024.
Ujjwal has an entrepreneurial mindset and is actively engaged with the Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking. He aspires to be an inspiring entrepreneur. You won’t find him free—if he is, he’s probably working on his culinary arts minor.
