Short Bio
Jordan graduated from the Haskayne School of Business in 2011 with a BComm degree, and proceeded to found and manage several start-up ventures before returning to the University of Calgary in 2017 to pursue training in physics. His undergraduate work in physics earned Jordan several scholarships including a NSERC USRA, and during this time he was given opportunities to work for the Department of Physics, including the re-development of experimental components of undergraduate physics courses. After completing a BSc-Honours Physics First Class in 2020 with thesis research in quantum neuroscience, he began an MSc-Physics in 2020 under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Oblak, with a primary focus on QKD systems. A specific priority of Jordan‘s current research is the prototype realization of a commercially viable MDI-QKD system, which will hopefully lead to a commercial offering.
